Alan Giana was born in Connecticut and studied graphic design at university. In the early 1990's he began his own illustration and design studio, producing commercial work for books, magazines, CD covers and children's games. He works with digital painting and airbrushing, amongst more traditional techniques, and his work has won many awards and been showcased in digital art magazines.

His awards include the Pro-Comm Award of Excellence by the Business Marketing Association, the Premier Print Award by the Printing Industries of America, and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy Award. Alan's paintings have been displayed in numerous galleries and shows around the country, including The Delaware Art Museum.
